Bio

In October 2016, I entered a CrossFit box for the first time. I was invited by Coach Vanessa and Coach Brooke here at Altius. There were lots of mixed emotions. I was excited, nervous, scared… I mean, here I was a 40-year-old mom who had been overweight and out of shape most of my life. It did not take long before I fell in love. 


As a kid, I was always the little sister on the sidelines cheering for my brothers as they participated in all the sports. I would sneak and play with their dumbbells and weight bench when they were not around. When they were around, I was told that girls don’t lift weights. Finding CrossFit meant finding a place for that little girl who wanted to be strong. I had found my place!


After 5 years of attending, I decided it was time to take my love for CrossFit to the next level. In June of 2022, I officially became a Level One CrossFit Coach. It is not something that I would have ever expected to happen, but it did. I have loved learning the fundamentals of CrossFit and being a part of a community that does not judge but truly wants what is best for its members. I especially love proving to people that CroffFit is for EVERYONE. I coach because I want to help people be their best selves. I will meet you exactly where you are in your health journey, without criticism or judgment no matter your age or size.


I currently enjoy coaching our L.I.F.E. (Longevity In Functional Efficiency) class for those 65+.  My inspiration for this age group comes from the mobility challenges I have seen many people face in their later years. I want people to know that they can age and still be mobile, functional, independent, and strong.
